Last year, they transitioned to pop-up events, catering, and serving lunch at Schofield Barracks Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We’re originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica, and have been in Hawaii for the past eight years,” she said. “Our goal is to bring a taste of Jamaica to the islands through our food, sharing the flavors and culture we grew up with. In addition to Jr’s Jamaican Jerk, I also own and operate SLA Salon in Wahiawa. We love what we do, and we’re grateful for the support of our amazing customers and community.”
Barrett creates the recipes and said she enjoys cooking and sharing For more information, visit jrsjamaicanjerk.com or follow on instagram at jrs_jamaican_jerk.
