Spanning five days and nights in late August, it will be the ultimate summer capstone celebration. A culmination of the region’s bounty, talent, and natural beauty, the debut of Traverse City Food & Wine is one you won’t want to miss.
At Traverse City Food & Wine, there’s no such thing as too many cooks in the kitchen. The Grand Tasting will feature an array of local bites and sips, with several chef appearances and panoramic views of northern Michigan.
Besides connecting with renowned culinarians, Traverse City Food & Wine brings so much more to the table… literally. You are invited to create your own perfect itinerary and tour your way through the culinary heart of northern Michigan. Join a cocktail class – with the expert who wrote The New York Times Essential Book of Cocktails – at Mammoth Distilling Cocktail Lounge. Learn how wine, ducks, and sustainability are related at the Regenerative Farming Vineyard Tour (with ducks!) at the Dune Bird vineyard estate. Back at the tasting room, you’ll be rewarded with a wine tasting paired with local baked goods and cheese. Traverse City is known for its freshwater access, and TC Food & Wine takes full advantage of the coastal location. Take a wine cruise on the Nauti-Cat catamaran or climb aboard the Wind Dancer with chef Abra Berens to sip on local wines while learning about the Great Lakes’ climate and impact. Grab your score sheet because you’ll be the judge of the fine dining “Food & Wine Series” at Brengman Family Wines, a three-course competition scored by the audience. At Black Star Farms, unwind with a goat yoga class or get your body moving at the “No Pour Decisions” 5k Run/Walk. With so many unique experiences to choose from, you can create a personalized celebration of the region’s bounty and character.
