Scranton’s Jewish Food Fest delights with classic dishes at Nay Aug Park

The Jewish Food Fest in Scranton attracted visitors with classic dishes and music on Sunday.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Bringing all types of food lovers together to enjoy classic Jewish foods in Lackawanna County.

The Jewish Discovery Center held its Jewish Food Fest at Nay Aug Park in Scranton on Sunday, where visitors got to try an array of traditional dishes, including corned beef sandwiches, schnitzel sandwiches, stuffed cabbage, babka, and more.

They also offered live music and other activities for all families to enjoy.

Rabbi Yosef Rapoport of Jewish Discovery Center says, “It’s been incredible, and the amount of volunteers and supporters to make this event happen. They put in their time in their talent and sponsorships really allows. Everyone to get together to experience a little bit of the Jewish traditions.”

Proceeds from the Jewish Food Fest at Nay Aug Park go towards the Jewish Discovery Center’s year-round programs.
