Fresh foods from local farmers ending up on the lunch tables at schools across the state. That’s the goal of the Minnesota Farm to School Institute, which held seminars recently in Chanhassen.
Kate Seybold with the Department of Agriculture says all schools can get this healthy help…
“There is support for schools of all sizes as well as early care providers in our state to buy local food, to teach about local food and agriculture and get kids out into gardens.”
Seybold says the funding for these programs comes from federal grants from the U-S Department of Agriculture.
