Augusta’s Independence Day Celebration takes place at Augusta Common with fireworks

Independence Day is almost here so pull out those red, white, and blue outfits to celebrate the Fourth of July in patriotic style. And in true Augusta-style, there are plenty of fireworks to celebrate.

Here are the details about local fireworks shows, but note the dates. The shows in downtown Augusta are on Friday, July 4, while the ones at SRP Park and at Fort Gordon are on Thursday, July 3.

Celebrate at the Augusta Common

The City of Augusta is hosting a free Independence Day Celebration beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, at the Augusta Common on Reynolds Street downtown. There will be live bands, food trucks, children’s activities, and vendors. The fireworks show begins about 9:30 p.m., near the Riverwalk Levee.

Boom! In the Park in Evans

Columbia County hosts the annual July 4 event at the Evans Towne Center Park, on Friday. Gates open at 5 p.m. There will be fireworks, live music, food trucks, and beverage vendors, and a fireworks display. Live music from Whiskey Run and Ryan Trotti, and a new laser show for 2024. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

Fort Gordon Independence Day Celebration

Fort Gordon will celebrate on Thursday at Barton Field on post from 6-11 p.m. There will be a carnival, country music and fireworks, as well as food vendors. Gates 1, 2, and 5 will be open for the public starting at 4 p.m. Admission is free and it’s open to the public. Celebrate with the GreenJackets

Catch a Thursday night Augusta GreenJackets baseball game and stay for a fireworks extravaganza show Red, White & BOOM! The GreenJackets play the Columbia Fireflies at 6:35 p.m. at SRP Park in North Augusta. Game ticket prices range from $12 to $26.
