“The backrest fold mechanism can pinch consumers’ fingers,” causing lacerations and potential amputations, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
There were seven instances of the mechanism pinching customers’ fingers with two of those reports resulting in injuries where the fingers were fractured.

31K bicycle helmets recalled due to head injury risk
Bell Sports is recalling more than 31,000 bicycle helmets because they might cause head injuries.
The recalled Bell Sports Axle, Cadence, Rev and Frenzy children’s bicycle helmets don’t comply with federal safety standards for helmets so there is a likelihood that the product can fail to protect a cyclist from a head injury in the event of a crash, according to the CPSC.
No injuries have been reported to date.
The helmets were sold at Walmart, Target, Academy Sports+ Outdoors, and other stores nationwide, including online at Amazon.
The products were on sale from “September 2024 through May 2025 for about $20,” according to the CPSC.
The CPSC is urging people to stop using the recalled helmets and contact Bell Sports for a full refund.
To obtain a refund, customers should cut the straps of the helmet and email a picture of the destroyed helmet to [email protected] to get a refund.
