Sarasota Volunteers pitch in to help fight summer hunger

Twenty-two employees from S-One Holdings Corporation turned out for a day of service Thursday, June 26 at All Faiths Food Bank in Sarasota. Volunteers from the Sarasota-based firm sorted and packed bags 2,560 bags of nutritious food for kids in Sarasota and DeSoto counties. Children who normally rely on free and reduced meals at school lose that support network during the summer. All Faith Food Bank partners with early learning and childcare programs, social agencies, school districts and mobile pantries to reach some of the estimated 40,000 local children of families experiencing food insecurity. All Faith Food Bank has plenty of volunteer opportunities for businesses, community groups, families and individuals that are interested in helping with their mission.
