As fans continue to mourn the loss of Anne Burrell, we now know when we can see her final stint on the Food Network.
On June 17, the world was shocked to learn that Anne passed away suddenly at the age of 55. While the cause of her untimely death is still unconfirmed, many friends and fellow Food Network stars on social media paid tribute to Anne and her legacy on the channel. One of the biggest ways she left her mark on TV was through Worst Cooks in America, a competition show that she served as a mentor on for 27 out of 28 seasons.
While Anne didn’t appear on the most recent season of Worst Cooks in America, the Food Network’s Instagram shared some news about her final appearance on the show. The network will air a selection of episodes featuring her work as a chef on Wednesday, June 25, beginning at 10 p.m. ET. What’s more, it was revealed that her last season on Worst Cooks in America (season 29) will premiere on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 9 p.m. ET. Anne’s last turn on the show features chef Gabe Bertaccini as the other food mentor for the competitors to learn from.
“This July, we’ll also be airing a brand-new season of Worst Cooks in America, featuring Anne’s final appearance as mentor,” the caption read on June 23. “Anne was joined by boot camp’s newest mentor, @chefgabebertaccini. The new season kicks off on Monday, July 28 at 9pm.”
Shortly after the Food Network disclosed news about Anne’s final season of Worst Cooks in America, Gabe went to the comments to share his hopes for viewers watching the upcoming installment.
“It was an absolute blast being in this journey with @chefanneburrell,” he wrote. “I hope you will feel her spirit through it all. ❤️”
When fans learned they’d get a chance to see Anne on their TV screens one last time, they immediately voiced their emotions in the comments.
“I can’t believe we get one final season of her in her groove on worst cooks 🥹🥹🥹🥹🙏🏼💙,” one person teared up. “Can’t wait to see Worst Cooks’ newest season with Anne … this was one of my favorite shows! She will be missed deeply ❤️,” another declared. “She will be sorely missed. I loved her creativity, passion & humor! RIP Anne 😢💔,” a different follower added.
As fans know, Worst Cooks in America features a group of “recruits” who have little to no experience in the kitchen. With the help of Anne and another chef mentor, the competitors vie to see who will use their new skills to win a $25,000 prize (after cooking a restaurant-quality, three-course meal).
We’ll certainly miss Anne, but we look forward to seeing her one more time on Worst Cooks in America.
