Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services is set to partner with the University of Missouri Extension to undergo a series of focus groups about food access, agriculture, and nutrition.
According to a news release from Public Health and Human Services, the focus groups will take place throughout July, primarily during the evenings. The groups are part of a larger project called Our Food Boone County, which is funded by the Missouri Foundation for Health and looks to provide a better understanding of Boone County’s food system.
The department is looking for participants who would like to share their experiences with certain foods in the community. Experiences can range from acquiring food, accessing food information and reflecting on food system resiliency, according to the news release.
Anyone interested in contributing to a focus group can register online. All participants will be provided a complimentary meal and a $20 gift card for their contributions.
