Food on the Move hosts Community Food and Resource Festival

TULSA, Okla. — Food on the Move hosted a Community Food and Resource Festival on Tuesday.

The festival aims to help those who are struggling with food insecurity.

The event was held at the Northwest Tulsa Hub. Each month, Food on the Move holds about three of these events to help Tulsa residents.

Food on the Move usually serves around 400 people at each event.

“All of this is just jump in and we will get you served,” said Food on the Move Program Director Rusty Rowe. “You don’t need to bring anything with you. You don’t need an ID, but we will spell your name better if you bring it. Just come jump in the line. We will get you a bunch of fruits and vegetables, some hot meals, some community resources.”

For anyone who missed Tuesday’s festival, Food on the Move’s next Food and Resource Festival will be held at TCC Northeast on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
