
At a Greenville Food Lion on 10th Street, shoppers were forced to evacuate when a fire broke out Tuesday afternoon.
At around 3:20 p.m., Greenville Fire/Rescue was called to the store near the intersection of Greenville Boulevard.
Greenville Utilities and Greenville Police were also on scene to assist.
According to Greenville Fire/Rescue crews, the store was evacuated by Food Lion staff, and there were no injuries to employees or firefighters.
Right now, damage is being assessed and the cause of the fire is still being investigated, but the fire department tells News12 the situation is under control.
