There’s a light start to the month of July, presumably giving the release of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach on June 26 as much free space as needed. However, things soon pick up from July 10 onwards, as there’s something a little for everyone and every console.
Nintendo Switch 2 owners should be looking forward to picking up Donkey Kong Bananza in July. The game’s recent showing in a Direct showed plenty of exciting promise in this DK 3D adventure. Across platforms, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 is set to deliver more high-quality remaster treatment, and if the recent demo is anything to go by, this is bound to be a fun and nostalgic experience for long-time fans. Anyone looking for a bit more action should have their eyes on Killing Floor 3 across platforms this month or, for some souls-like inspired gameplay, the release of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. When it comes to something you can play with a few of your friends, the release of Grounded 2 in Early Access should offer some more miniature bug-hunting. The world of Middle-Earth returns to video games in a new way with Tales of the Shire, looking to provide a more wholesome and cozy Hobbiton tale.
Some indie games to have your eyes on this year would be Wheel World, a bicycling game offering something very different; Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream, an exciting-looking narrative-driven isometric stealth game; and the release of Australian-made The Drifter, a point-and-click adventure with a style like no other.
