For young dancers dreaming of the big stage, this could be their shot: the Brooklyn Nets Kids Dance Team is gearing up for its next season — and your kid could be part of the lineup.
The team will hold open auditions for the 2025-26 NBA season on Sunday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s University-New York in Clinton Hill.
Children ages 6 to 13 with at least two years of dance training are eligible to audition. A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign a waiver. Registration begins at 10 a.m., and all dancers must arrive by 10:30 a.m. Finalists may be asked to stay and continue auditioning until 4:30 p.m.
To be considered for the team, dancers must be able to learn and perform choreography. Those selected must be available for weekly rehearsals in Brooklyn and weekend home games at Barclays Center.

Jona Biddle serves as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets Kids Dance Team, and Criscia Long, senior director of entertainment at BSE Global, will oversee the auditions.
The team was introduced in 2012 to accompany the Nets during their inaugural season at Barclays Center. Since then, they’ve performed alongside the organization’s other entertainment teams and at events throughout the New York area.
Last season, more than 500 dancers auditioned for just 18 spots.
