Kilo’s Community Function brings free food, haircuts to Fort Wayne’s southeast side

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A Fort Wayne barber held a celebration Sunday to give back to the city.

From 12 to 4 p.m., Kilo Santana was at the Renaissance YMCA for the first-ever Kilo’s Community Function.

The celebration offered pizza, chips, and drinks as well as lineups and haircuts, all free of charge.

Santana says the celebration is a good way to give back to his community.

“I feel like everybody is so stressed, everybody is so everywhere, so I wanted to make an event where people don’t have to worry about spending money,” said Santana “I want to just be able to feed everyone, make sure everyone is good, and just have a good time with everyone, you know.”

Santana says he plans to grow his ‘Community Function’ in the future.
