Auburn driver charged with DWI while five kids in car

A 35-year-old Auburn resident was arrested after allegedly driving drunk with five children in the vehicle and crashing off a Seneca Falls roadway.

Police say Casey Jackson was taken into custody on June 22 after leaving the northbound lane of State Route 89 and causing a personal injury accident. Officers with the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department responded and discovered Jackson was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Jackson was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC over .08%, and five felony counts under Leandra’s Law for having passengers under the age of 16. Additional charges include failure to maintain lane and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Jackson was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
