The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025 took place on Saturday, June 21, at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Hosted by singer Tyla, the event was a celebration of talent, with children voting ahead of the show for their favorite acts across 35 categories, including Favorite Movie Actor, Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Song, Favorite Album, and Favorite Music Group.
But perhaps the most important question is not who won on the night but who got slimed?
Jack Black & More Celebs Get Slimed at the KCA 2025
It was an extra special night for Jack Black, who was nominated for Favorite Song from a Movie for “I Feel Alive” from “A Minecraft Movie,” and he won the orange blimp for Favorite Movie Actor for “A Minecraft Movie.” But the actor was also honored with the King of Comedy Award. As he took to the stage for his acceptance speech, a wave of green slime covered the iconic star.
Musician MGK performed on the night with the track “cliché” from his upcoming seventh studio album, “Lost Americana.” He was accompanied to the awards by his daughter, Casie Baker, who also introduced him to the stage to perform his track. In addition to his performance, MGK was slimed!
Group KATSEYE also took to the stage to perform their new song, “Gnarly,” from the upcoming album “Beautiful Chaos.” Ice Spice introduced them. During the performance, the group (which includes members Sophia, Megan, Daniela, Lara Raj, Yoonchae, and Manon) got slimed onstage. This made the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025 extra amusing!

Tyla had a memorable evening and did a great job as the host. She took home the win for Favorite Global Music Star and also got covered in green slime!
Kira Kosarin and Jack Griffo got slimed while accepting the orange blimp for the Favorite Kids TV Show award for “The Thundermans: Undercover.”

Rihanna Accepts an Award & Slimes Everyone
It was a special night for Rihanna, who accepted an Icon Award (the first celebrity to take home a silver blimp in this category). She was not present at the Barker Hangar, but she did appear on video and had a special message for her fans.
“I just want to take this moment to remind all of you that wherever you are right now is significant and crucial to where you are about to go,” she addressed the crowd, Billboard reports. “Own your space in this world and know that you are chosen for greatness.”
Rihanna did not get slimed, but she did unleash a massive wave of blue slime onto the attendees!
