FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) — The Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries (CCFM) held a major food distribution event Saturday at the Florence Center.
It’s a part of CCFM’s annual conference that connects people from 14 states and nearly 80 churches and ministries.
Bishop Michael Blue and his wife Malinda Tart Blue are the pastors of Door of Hope Christian Church in Marion, where CCFM originated, according to the church’s website.
This is the 25th year of CCFM, and 19 of those conferences have been held at the Florence Center.
“Because this is a celebratory year for us, we wanted to do something that demonstrated to God and to people just how grateful we are. And so, through a partnership with World Vision International, we were able to provide a distribution this morning,” said Bishop Blue.
“A distribution of household goods. Which includes some food and some appliances, and all of those things. And freely given volunteers from among us. Volunteers from Facts of Life Church in Whiteville, N.C. The Marion Co. Long Term Recovery Group, Marion County, S.C., Q2 Construction, Mr. Deon Sanders, and his construction team. And many volunteers, from CCFM, the conference, and the fellowship.”
“We are here to say to our Father, our Heavenly Father, that we appreciate his goodness,” said Bishop Blue.
CCFM began as a small group of pastors in the year 2000, who decided to “network and unite for the purpose of synergistic strength has evolved into an organism connecting 14 states and nearly 80 affiliated churches/ministries.”
