Developer Francis Coulombe and publisher Devolver Digital have unleashed the 1.5 Update for their horror RPG Look Outside, adding even more eldritch horrors to the game’s cursed apartment building. The 1.5 update also includes the usual bug fixes, as well as a number of gameplay tweaks, new and expanded dialogue for certain encounters, new decisions to make, and even more dark secrets to discover in the shadowy hallways of the apartment building.
Available for free today to everyone who owns Look Outside, the update includes an expanded flooded basement area that’s bursting with fresh new terrors to fight, or to have engage in terrifying conversations. More residents have also been added that will be knocking at your door when you’re “safely” back at home, including a few new twists on familiar encounters.
The update also includes an expanded and improved crafting system, with new materials to collect, and the ability to craft powerful healing items to help you survive the night.
And if for some reason you’ve been on the fence about grabbing the game, Look Outside is currently enjoying a 20% discount on Steam for a limited time.
Look Outside centres around a mysterious event, where anyone who looks out their window is turned into grotesque monsters. Obviously, this leaves the world in absolute chaos. As a result, you must scavenge your apartment building to seek food, supplies, and weapons while encountering strange characters—human and otherwise.
