Gunfire near fast food restaurant seriously injures man, MPD says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Police are searching for a man who shot a Door-Dasher multiple times at a restaurant on Lamar on Thursday afternoon, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) said.

Officers responded to the shooting at an American Deli on Lamar Avenue, where they found a man and took him to Regional One in critical condition.

According to MPD, the man was door-dashing at the restaurant when another man came from behind and started shooting him in the middle of the restaurant. MPD reported that other people were inside at the time. 

The Door-Dasher was shot multiple times, MPD said. 

MPD said the suspected shooter wore a white shirt and gray pants and fled the scene eastbound from Lamar and Democrat. The investigation is ongoing.
