Apple Camp 2025 brings new iMovie-focused workshops for kids

Apple’s free summer workshops for kids are back. Starting today, parents and guardians can register for this year’s edition of Apple Camp, which will run from June 21 through July 31 at Apple Store locations worldwide. See how to register and take home an exclusive T-shirt.

The program, aimed at children aged up to 10, is part of Apple’s ongoing Today at Apple initiative. Sessions are designed to get kids hands-on with Apple technology in fun, creative ways, while also giving parents and guardians a chance to tag along.

This year’s theme: making a “Friendship Film” on iPad

This year’s new 90-minute session is called “Direct Your Own Friendship Film on iPad”. Here’s Apple:

We invite kids ages 6–10 and their families to explore the magic of filmmaking on iPad with iMovie. Campers will collaborate as they direct, record, edit, and more to make a friendship film that celebrates how we’re better when we come together. Devices provided.

Apple will provide the iPads for use during the session, so families won’t need to bring their own gear. Apple also says hearing loop technology is available for sessions where sound amplification is used. Families can request this accommodation in advance.

As with past Apple Camp sessions, every participating child will leave with a special edition Apple Camp T-shirt. But this time, as observed by MacRumors, the shirt will be made entirely from recycled materials.

How to sign up

Registration is open now on Apple’s Today at Apple website. Spots tend to fill up quickly, especially in larger cities, so it might be a good idea to grab a seat sooner rather than later. Sessions are completely free, and while each runs just 90 minutes. Attendance from a parent or guardian is required.
