BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Multiple law enforcement agencies are on the scene near the Triple S Food Mart on North Foster Drive after shots were fired Tuesday afternoon.
Heavily armed police are scouring the area, including woods behind the store, in search of a suspect. Police drones have been deployed to assist in the search.
A source tells WAFB an ATF was reportedly hit in the leg by shrapnel as shots were fired during an undercover investigation in that area.
A second person, believed to be a suspect in the case, was shot, possibly in the shoulder, the source said.
Paramedics say they transported two people from the scene, including one person in stable condition. The condition of the other patient was not known.
