Prince William kicked off his Father’s Day strong.
On Sunday, June 15, his three kids—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—took over the official Instagram account he shares with Princess Kate to post an adorable tribute in his honor.
In the first photo, Prince William is standing with his arms wrapped around all three children, grinning alongside them for a classic portrait moment.
The second photo appears to be more candid, with all three kids adorably piled on top of their dad as he lays on the grass laughing. Both were taken by photographer Josh Shinner, who also shot the portraits for Prince Louis’s seventh birthday, which appear to have been taken on the same day.
“Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L 💖,” the caption read, with all three kids signing off with their initials.
The post went up just a day after the Prince and Princess of Wales attended Trooping the Colour with their children.
The event, held annually in June, is a 265-year-old tradition marking the official birthday of the British monarch. It features a formal military parade led by the seven regiments of the British Army’s Household Division and is one of the most significant annual appearances for the royal family.
At the ceremony, the three Wales kids each added a subtle nod to their parents with their clothes. Princess Charlotte followed her mom’s sartorial lead in an aquamarine dress while Prince Louis and Prince George both suited up with red ties that matched their father’s military uniform.
