J.D. and Usha Vance brought their three children to Donald Trump’s military birthday parade as viewers labeled them ‘uncontrollable’
Vice President J.D. Vance was criticized for having his kids by his side at the Washington, D.C. parade, which flaunted the US Army’s wares.
Vance arrived alongside his wife, Usha, and their three children, Ewan, Vivek, and Maribel, whom viewers deemed ‘uncontrollable.’ The pair joined Donald and Melania Trump, who were celebrating the president’s 79th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the army.
The Vance family gathered in Washington, D.C. for the festivities, which are taking place along the National Mall with over 7,000 uniformed soldiers, dozens of tanks and military vehicles, marching bands, and a fireworks show.

Helicopters and World War II-era planes were seen flying overhead as Army parachutists floated down to the White House’s ellipse, where the Vance family was enjoying the parade.
But fans could only focus on the Vice President’s children, who have quickly become known for their behavior.
One fan stormed social media, writing, “Oh good, J.D. Vance brought his uncontrollable kids.”
“His kids are bad,” another observed.
A third posted, “Troops in the parade looking slovenly, completely out of step. But the most embarrassing lack of discipline is on the stage.”
“JD Vance’s kids can’t sit still for 5 minutes! They’re out of control, Generals are stepping in trying to distract them,” they finished.
Others had a totally different reaction, praising the vice president for having his kids in attendance.
“Love to see the Vance kids,” one gushed.
Another posted, “I love that VP Vance is normalizing bringing their families, even little kids, to big, important events. I love seeing this.”
“I love our VP and his family. Usha looks great, and the kids are adorable. I would love Vance to be 48,” one said, suggesting they’d like to see Vance become the next president.
“Watching VP Vance show up with the kids harkened back to JFK and John-John. Having a family in the WH sets a great example,” yet another said.
Vance married his wife, Usha Vance, in 2014. Together, they have three children. Ewan is 8 years old, Vivek is 5 years old, and Mirabel is 2 years old. The couple had kept their children out of the spotlight until Trump’s presidential campaign.
