COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – One University of South Carolina football player is teaming up with a local food bank to help make a difference in the Midlands community.
Wide receiver Jared Brown joined forces with United Healthcare and Harvest Hope Food Bank today in an effort to fight food insecurity in the Midlands.
Brown and his fellow volunteers packed over 200 bags filled with grocery essentials as part of Harvest Hope’s monthly senior day.
United Healthcare said that “events like these are a part of their initiative to help people have access to food banks and redefine health care in the Columbia community.”
