Food drive brings in more than 91,000 pounds of food

VERONA, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — This year’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive gathered 91,588 pounds of food and $4,423 for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Held on May 10, the event saw residents from the BRAFB’s 25-county service area leave donations at their mailboxes. Volunteers helped sort and transport contribution to BRAFB branch locations in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Verona and Winchester.
