Memphis Animal Services recently received a record-breaking cat food donation, the agency announced June 10.
Pet supplies company Birdie & Louie donated five pallets of cat food to MAS, the shelter said.
MAS partnered with several smaller rescues and shelters in the Memphis area to share some of the food donated by Birdie & Louie.
“Their passion for giving back to the community shone brightly with this incredible gift, and we were not only grateful, but deeply inspired,” the shelter wrote in a social media post. “So, in true Southern fashion, we decided to show some hospitality—and pay it forward, Memphis style, with a little grit and grind.”
The shelter called the donation a “heartfelt effort” and a “proud moment of community collaboration.”
