Good Time Oldies Car Show to collect food donations

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) – Cars of all shapes and sizes will come together this weekend for a pre-Father’s Day car show.

The 97.5 FM Good Time Oldies Car Show welcomes entries of all makes, models and years. MediaBrew Communications hosts this show to give car lovers something to do before Father’s Day and to give back to the community.

Attendees and car owners vote to decide the top three Best in Show. Winners will receive prizes.

To take part, register between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Westwood Mall parking lot. The entry fee is five nonperishable food items that will be donated to area food banks.

“We collect the nonperishable food items to help out our food banks and it’s also a way of getting just people to register their cars and help out,” said Walt Lindala, the MediaBrew Communications Network News Director. “It’s just a way of helping out the community and giving our car fans out there something to enjoy.”

The event is free for the public to attend, but nonperishable food donations are welcome.

The show goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Westwood Mall parking lot.
