FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Ivy Tech Fort Wayne’s Grasshopper food truck opens Tuesday for the 2025 summer season.
The student-run food truck will be located at the Coliseum Campus near doors 24 and 25 for the entire 2025 season. The Grasshopper will be open every Tuesday through Thursday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the food truck is open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Thursdays, the Grasshopper is open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
“It gives them real-world experience, which they really don’t get too much of in school,” program chair Aaron Parkinson said.
New this season, the food truck is adding three items to its menu. This includes Memphis Pulled Pork Tatchos, Shrimp Po’boy, and Seared Salmon BLT.
