Invincible VS was one of the big surprises of the Xbox Games Showcase 2025: it has all the gore of the original material and the brutality of Omni-Man and company.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 is a presentation of the future of the Xbox brand, featuring games that will soon be available on Microsoft’s PC and console platforms. One of the event’s highlights was Invincible VS, developed by Skybound Games. It promises to be one of the most talked-about games in the coming months. It is the official video game based on the popular Prime Video animated series and acclaimed comics created by Robert Kirkman.

It will adapt the main story arcs, from Nolan/Omni-Man’s betrayal and the revelation of his true intentions to the arrival of other Viltrumites on Earth.
This is a 3 vs. 3 fighting game in the style of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which stands out not only for its frenetic gameplay, but also for the great respect to the original material and an immersive story mode, which will treat the narrative with care and fidelity. Technically, the game delivers: gory effects, spectacular combat, and cinematic scenes rendered at 24 FPS to replicate the animated series’ visual style. Confirmed characters include Omni-Man, Invincible, Atom Eve, and Rex Splode, as well as many other heroes from the Invincible universe.
Invincible VS is set to launch in 2026 for PC and Xbox, though its release on other platforms has yet to be confirmed. A more precise release date has not been revealed beyond the announced window.
