
After a hiatus of many years, the Owl Cafe had a classic car show Saturday, where visitors were asked to make donations to the New Mexico Make-A-Wish Foundation. For Chris Oucero, being part of the show fulfilled a wish of his own.”This is my first time entering in a car show — the lowrider super car show — and I won second place,” Oucero said. “It was a dream come true.”Oucero said his 1964 Chevrolet Impala is all original, with the original motor.”My Dad had a ’64 Impala when I was a little kid,” Oucero said. “He used to take us for cruises. He said it would put us to sleep. It was always my dream to get a ’64 Impala. Finally got one and made it to the show.”Owl Cafe owner Corey Moulton said it was time to bring back the car shows. This one had 70 or 80 classic cars, and he hopes to have several more shows this year.”It’s a way to get the community together and to support a good cause at the same time,” Moulton said.
