House fire displaces 4 adults, 6 kids

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Ten people were displaced after a fire caught inside their home Monday morning.

Cincinnati Fire & EMS were dispatched at 9:53 a.m. for a report of a fire at 2360 Whitewood Ln.

When they arrived, they found a two-story house with fire coming out of the second floor, District Fire Chief Jason Vollmer wrote in a press release.

Six children and four adults had self-evacuated by the time Cincinnati firefighters got to the home, Vollmer said.

Over 40 firefighters were able to put the fire out within 30 minutes, however, the home sustained $75,000 worth of damages, the press release continues.

The Red Cross helped the family with the displacement.

As of now, the cause of the fire is being investigated by the Cincinnati Fire Investigative Unit.
