MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The Carolina Muslims Association hosted the International Food and Fun Festival.
The event brought together participants from 15 countries to celebrate cultural diversity.
The event featured home-cooked dishes from nations such as Ukraine, Palestine, Egypt and Japan, alongside vendors selling traditional clothing and jewelry.

“That’s what this event is about and what we’re trying to show the world, trying to show our city, and that’s why I love being here,” said Jenna Mohamed, one of the event’s organizers.
The festival provided an opportunity for attendees to express themselves and engage with different cultures.
“But this is a great event to come socialize with good friends,” said Ferzana, event organizer.
The event not only celebrated community and diversity but also supported the Grand Strand Islamic Society’s new center.
“We don’t want to just focus on the spiritual part, which is ours, but we want to make sure that we serve the community as such so people can get to know us and know we’re here,” said Tareq, another organizer.
