PENSACOLA, Fla. — The fifth annual ‘Gulf Coast Culture Fest’ kicked off in downtown Pensacola on Saturday.
The festival in Seville Square is designed to celebrate all the various cultures that come together to make up Pensacola.
Attendees enjoyed live entertainment, local vendors and food trucks.
Organizers say the celebrations of diversity is needed now more than ever.
“It’s important, especially in today’s society to have events like this to really put a spotlight on culture,” said Calvin Griffin, festival founder and organizer. “Unfortunately we live in a time where culture is not at the highlight of society, so we want to spotlight it and include everyone.”
The event is free and open to the public.
