CAP Collaborates for kids’ events and hurricane relief efforts

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) – The Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is collaborating with Marine Toys for Tots and Good360 for Operation Sharing.

Together, these organizations will provide toys at two upcoming events: Shriner’s “Casting for Kids” and “Catch a Rainbow.”

The “Casting for Kids” event is the largest free fishing tournament in the nation. It will take place on June 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Paintsville Lake State Park for children with special needs, and on June 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for participants of all ages.

“Catch a Rainbow” will be hosted at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery in Jamestown in Russell County and is open to children up to 15 years old. This event is scheduled for June 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time.
