ZANESVILLE, Ohio – America has a distinct fascination with automobiles, whether it’s driving, racing, customizing, or showing them off and our area is no exception.
Brookdale Senior Living will be holding a cruise-in, car show this Saturday that will place car owners into a competition to see which one has the most appealing automobile.
“One of the things that is always exciting for us at Brookdale is to create fun for seniors and live action and things for them to do. So this weekend’s car show is a way that the seniors that have show cars that they want to show can bring it out and have a good time showing their investment, their hobby, as well as for seniors in the general area to come out and to look at cars,” Brookdale Senior Living Executive Director Sarah Vincenzo said.
Spectators can expect to see vintage Mustangs and Camaros along with restored pickup trucks while enjoying food from Randy’s Backyard BBQ and listening to the king.
“Entertainment is always a big hit so we have Elvis, as coming out of the Granville area and he’s a big hit with our residents and families,” Vincenzo said. “As well as some good food and great entertainment for them. That’s really the theme of Brookdale. It’s part of our culture. And any money and proceeds that we collect is going to go to Alzheimer’s Association as we do have a specialized memory care unit.”
