STEVENS POINT − As the days get longer and warmer, it’s time to start filling those summer calendars with events in the Stevens Point area.

From long-standing events to festivals and other community celebrations, there are many ways to fill your summer days in the area this summer.

Check out some of the biggest events scheduled throughout the summer in the Stevens Point area.

Point Pride Crawl

Stevens Point will host the Point Pride Crawl from 4 p.m. to midnight June 13 at participating bars in the downtown area

Juneteenth Celebration

CREATE Portage County will host a Juneteenth Celebration from noon to 8 p.m. June 21 at Pfiffner Pioneer Park, celebrating the ending of slavery in the United States.

The event is free and family-friendly, including food from local Black-owned vendors, local art and handmade goods vendors, performers and more.

Riverfront Rendezvous Community Festival

The Stevens Point Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will host Riverfront Rendezvous Community Festival July 3-5 at Pfiffner Pioneer Park.

The festival features three stages of entertainment and offers free activities for families. There are no tickets or entrance fees, but visitors will not be able to bring any carry-ins, animals or fireworks into the park. Headliners on the main stage include Little Texas, Armchair Boogie, Crown Jewels and Brass Differential. Riverfront Rendezvous also includes a horseshoe tournament, a cornhole tournament, and fireworks will start at dusk Saturday.

Iola Car Show & Swap Meet

This year’s Iola Car Show & Swap Meet will be held July 10-12 on the show grounds in Iola.

The event’s 53rd annual theme will be “4x4Fun,” and will feature celebrity appearances, special vehicle unveilings, sponsor displays, kids activities, concerts including the Spicy Tie Band and more.

The car show offers 2,500 show cars, 4,000 swap space, 1,600 campsites, food, special guests, concerts and more.

Portage County Fair of Amherst

The Portage County Fair of Amherst will take place July 17-20 at 5404 Fairgrounds Road in Amherst.

The fair will feature carnival rides, truck and tractor pulls, a demolition derby, a volleyball tournament, fair food, games, a cake auction, a cornhole tournament, vendors, raffles, games, a parade and more.

Pedal Point Rally

The Hostel Shoppe will host its sixth annual Pedal Point Rally July 18-19 at 3201 John Joanis Drive.

The two-day rally will include marked bicycle rides with rest stops, local tours of the Stevens Point Sculpture Park, pizza at the Stevens Point Brewery, brewery tours and more activities. Saturday’s events include various tours with rest stops, ice cream at Feltz’s Dairy Store and Farm, a petting zoo, kids games and more.

This event raises money for the Spokes Fighting Strokes organization, helping stroke survivors through recovery. The organization was founded by Dan Zimmerman, who suffered a stroke in 2005. His mission through the organization is to show every stroke survivor recovery is possible.

Discover Downtown

Discover Downtown will be held July 19 in downtown Stevens Point.

The event will include businesses holding sidewalk sales, vendors, a ping pong ball drop and more activities.

Disability Pride Festival

Midstate Independent Living Choices Inc. will host its first Disability Pride Festival in celebration of its 25th anniversary.

Disability Pride Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 2 at Lake Pacawa Park, 1831 Maple Drive in Plover. The event will include adaptive kayaking, live entertainment, food, various vendors, art activities and more.

PaddleQuest

PaddleQuest will be held Aug. 8-10 starting at The Waters Pub and Pier, 736 Old Wausau Road in Stevens Point.

The annual event features teams of two or three people who paddle in canoes, kayaks or stand-up paddleboards and compete in games, puzzles and competitions across the two-day fantasy event. This year’s event is called “Can you Dig it?”

Portage County Fair

The 99th annual Portage County Fair will be held Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 at the Rosholt Fair Park, 186 W. Forest St. in Rosholt.

The fair will feature live music each day, a parade starting at noon Saturday, carnival rides and more.

Riverfront Jazz Festival

The Riverfront Jazz Festival will be held Aug. 30-31 at the Pfiffner Pioneer Park amphitheater.

Looking for more events to fill your calendar this summer? Here are a few summer events that occur weekly throughout the summer:

  • Levitt AMP Stevens Point: CREATE Portage County will host its ninth Levitt AMP series from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday from June 5 through Aug. 21 at the Pfiffner Park Bandshell.
  • Stevens Point City Band Concerts: The Stevens Point City Band will perform at 7 p.m. every Wednesday at 1100 Crosby Ave. in Stevens Point.
  • Stevens Point Farmers Market: The Stevens Point Farmers Market will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from May through October at Mathais Mitchell Public Square. Saturdays are the most popular days.
