WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – This afternoon, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District softball teams were announced with five Hawks featured.
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® and Academic All-District® Teams program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. To be considered for inclusion on the Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® Softball Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and must have competed in at least 90 percent of the institution’s contests or started in at least 66 percent of those contests.
The five members making the list include sophomore Alexis Sealy (Pleasant Hill, Calif.), sophomore Gracie Hopkins (El Dorado Hills, Calif.), junior Carly Mayhood (Newtown, N.J.), senior Olivia Wolk (Sugarloaf, Pa.), and senior Azya Walker (Oak Forest, Ill.)
Sealy and Wolk will also be in consideration for Academic All-America after being selected as finalists.
Sealey finished off her sophomore year dominating the mound she ended with an ERA of 2.27 making 17 appearances starting in 12. She pitched a total of 64.2 innings with 31 strikeouts earning a record of 5-1 on the season. Sealey was also a key asset for the Hawks at the plate she recorded .427/.510/.687 (AVG/OBP/SLG) along with 35 runs scored, 21 doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 21 RBIs. In the field she had 125 POs and 29 assists. Alexis was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region Second Team selection and a Conference of New England (CNE) First Team member.
Hopkins was another key pitcher on the mound for the Hawks in 2025 appearing in 19 games while making six starts. Holding a record of 5-3, she pitched 48.1 innings, struck out 41 batters and had one complete game. She struck out seven batters for a season-high against MCLA on March 15th.
Mayhood was also named after making 20 appearances in 2025. Carly ended the year with a 7-9 record with a save. She ended the year with 74.1 innings pitched, 72 strikeouts, and a ERA of 2.73.
Wolk started in all 38 games she saw action in for the Hawks in her Senior season, slashing .400/.773/.449 (AVG/SLG/OBP) with six homers, 35 RBIs, eight triples, seven doubles, on 44 hits, to go along with 27 runs and 13 stolen bases. In the field Olivia made 55 putouts, and five assists with a fielding percentage of .938. Additionally Wolk was named CNE Player of the Week on the week of 3/17. As well as being named NFCA Players and Pitchers to watch, NFCA All-Region Second team, and CNE All-Conference first team.
Walker made 32 starts in the 33 games she saw action in slashing .250/292/.333 (AVG/SLG/OBP) tallying 18 hits with five RBIs, three doubles, five stolen bases, and 12 runs for the Hawks in her senior season. In the field Walker was responsible for 24 putouts, and one assist finishing with a fielding percentage of .862. Walker was also named as part of the CNE All-Community Service team.
