Here’s five things going on around Holmes and Wayne counties.
1. YMCA for Holmes County public forum
When: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29
Where: New Pointe Church, 8882 State Route 39, Millersburg
What: Community forum to explore having a YMCA in Holmes County. Local leaders and the YMCA of Wayne County invite the public to a forum to explore bringing a YMCA to Holmes County. The forum will include a presentation and question-and-answer session by Nikki Fehrenbach, CEO of the YMCA of Wayne County, outlining the vision and benefits a YMCA and the services it could bring, starting with affordable, licensed childcare and before and after school programming.

2. Zumba at the Duncan Theater
When: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29
Where: Duncan Theater, North Main Street, Killbuck
What: The first week will be Zumba for 20 minutes. The following Thursdays cardio box and stretching will be added for a total of a 60-minute class. Classes will be Thursdays unless something else is scheduled. Take water and a small towel.

3. The Link – Wayne Bowling Fundraiser
When: 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 30
Where: Wayne Lanes, 1983 E. Lincoln Way, Wooster
What: A fun night of bowling to support The Link – Wayne. Spport will help to continue providing opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Registration includes two hours of bowling, shoe rental, one cheese pizza and a pitcher of pop per lane. Call Aliyah for more information at 330-590-7864.

When: Friday and Saturday, May 30–31
Where: Wayne County Fairgrounds, 199 Vanover St., Wooster
What: The live music lineup is: 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, Fun Girl Band; 8-11 p.m. Friday, 1988 Band; noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Tyler Biggs; 2:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday, TKT Duo; 5-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Suicide Blond Band; and 8:15-11 p.m. Saturday, Paradise Meatloaf Tribute. The fest is a free, family-friendly event featuring live music, barbecue vendors, a beer garden, corn-hole tournament, cruise-in on Friday evening, goldfish races, pedal tractor pull and more. 5. Car and Truck Show
When: Noon-3 p.m. Sunday, June 1. Registration begins at 11 a.m.
Where: American Legion Post 68, 1901 Sylvan Road, Wooster
What: Enjoy food, fun and music at the fouth annual Car and Truck Show to benefit Veterans Home, services provided to veterans and Toys for Tots. Awards and drawings at 3 p.m. Dash plaques offered to the first 50 cars. Enjoy hot dogs and coneys by the Sons of the American Legion. Boots, Paws and Troops burgers, Ladies Auxiliary will have coffee and donuts and Eat At Joes Fries will be available. Music by Rich the Lincoln Man.
Cost: Registration for vehicles is $10. Food prices vary.
