INDIANAPOLIS — We’ve watched IndyCar drivers all month long around Speedway, and we love that.
But on Wednesday, some of those drivers spent time at Riley Hospital for Children. Kids and their families got to meet the drivers and do race-themed activities during the visit.
“He comes in here … he’s always, you know, pretty sad. So it makes it a lot easier,” said the father of one of the young patients. “When something like this happens and and he can get out and be a kid and experience some things that, you know, maybe not a lot of other kids get to experience. So it’s really cool. It makes it stay a little easier.”
The kids also got to hang out with some of the 500 Festival Princesses.
