This 15-second clip tells us that it has pixelated graphics. By spinning on the machine and getting some combo, you’ll cast an attack on the enemy shown on the screen. One of them is called Hammer Goblin. When an enemy is killed, you get some coins, which can be used to purchase upgrades from the shop, increasing the power of attacks or getting some buffs. Implementing roguelike mechanics in the shop, with random upgrade offerings each time, seems like a fun and engaging idea — just a personal opinion here.
Instead of clicking once to stop the spinning and get a result, you’ll tap three times to see the result on each slot one by one, which triples the excitement and interaction while playing. At the beginning of each turn, your HP, which is displayed on the right side of the slot machine, will be fully reset.
There’s also clear attention to detail, such as the shaking effect when pressing the button and dropping the chips, and the sound effect also seems complete and right in the mood. The enemy’s HP bar would turn red first before being cleared out by the slash and disappearing.
We’re not quite sure how the enemy will engage with the player, like the way they cause damage, and its Steam page will be revealed when the official announcement drops. As a teaser, it seems likely that more gameplay footage will be shared in the future to show us a more complete look at the project. Stay tuned for that.
