Festival roundup: Ballons, tractors and a Pow-Wow – what Ashland County has to offer

Looking for weekend plans in Ashland County? From fireworks and food trucks to parades and pageants, there’s a festival for everyone. Here is a roundup of festivals across the county in 2025.

BalloonFest

When: Thursday-Sunday, June 26-29

Where: Center Street and Morgan Avenue, Ashland

What: BalloonFest features colorful hot air balloons. Entertainment includes music, shows and an assortment of food vendors, as well as daily balloon liftoffs and the evening Baloon Glow.

Ashland County Yesteryear Machinery Club Show

When: Saturday-Sunday, July 12-13

Where: Ashland County Fairgrounds, 2024 Claremont Ave., Ashland

What: A display of all make of tractor and farm and garden equipment and engines, also featuring a farm toy show, military vehicles, model railroad club display and a car show Sunday afternoon. Great Mohican Pow-Wow

When: Friday-Sunday, Sept. 12-14; gates open 10 a.m.

Where: Mohican Reservation Campground, 23270 Wally Road, Loudonville

What: Pow-Wow time is the Native American people’s way of meeting to join in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships and making new ones. It is a time to renew thought of the old ways and to preserve a rich heritage.
