WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – Winnebago County Animal Services says it is in desperate need of canned kitten food as it begins to see an influx of kittens.
The shelter shared on Facebook Monday afternoon it has had more than 60 cats come into its care in the past week, many of which are kittens.
The shelter says those able to help can drop off donations at 4517 N. Main Street in Rockford. Winnebago County Animal Services also accepts monetary donations on its website.
During WIFR’s Pet of the Week on May 12, Amber Pinnon from Winnebago County Animal Services says in addition to trying to empty the shelters, it is also searching for volunteers and those interested in becoming a foster.
