
CHICO, Calif. – Butte College football players Donnell Johnson and Malachi Calhoun are taking a major step in their athletic careers. Both have signed letters of intent to play football at Hampton University.
Johnson, a 6’3 defensive tackle from Flanagan High in Florida, played eight games this season. He finished with 10 tackles and a sack.
Calhoun, a 6’4 outside linebacker from Newman Smith High in Texas, played 11 games for Butte. He recorded 34 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
Butte College had an impressive 10-1 record last season. The team is eager for the upcoming 2025 season, aiming for another successful year.
