The 15th annual Kids to Parks Day will be held Saturday, May 17 with the Town of Leesburg inviting families to explore its diverse array of playgrounds.
Starting today, and continuing through May 16, the town will highlight its park and playgrounds on social media while encouraging families to visit as many as possible throughout the week.
Kids to Parks Day is a national campaign to celebrate outdoor play every year on the third Saturday of May. It connects kids and families with local, state, and national parks and public lands through hundreds of events that promote exploration and the outdoors.
“Kids to Parks Day is a wonderful opportunity for families to unplug, get outside, and discover the amazing parks and playgrounds right here in Leesburg,” stated Event Coordinator Corey Lemons. “We’re proud to support this national initiative and encourage everyone to take part in the fun.”
