JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WCYB) — Registration is now open for Good Samaritan Ministries’ summer food program, which aims to provide food boxes to more than 500 families with school-aged children during June and July.
The program is available to families in the Northeast Tennessee region. Non-perishable items are needed to fill the boxes for families in need.
“We are soliciting support from the community by way of prayer advocacy, looking for volunteers to help pack food boxes, as well as donations both monetary and in-kind via canned goods and other items that we have listed and are in need of,” Executive Director of Good Samaritan Ministries Aaron Murphy said.
This marks the 40th year that Good Samaritan Ministries has been assisting families in need. For more information, click here.
