Feeding Appomattox to launch new food bank at Memorial Methodist Church

APPOMATTOX, Va. (WSET) — An Appomattox group will soon be opening a new food bank this summer.

Feeding Appomattox is set to open a food bank at Memorial Methodist Church on 403 Court St., in Appomattox.

According to their Facebook post, that opening date will be July 19.

They are in need of multiple items, including:

• Canned goods (fruits, vegetables, sauces, meat)
• Boxed goods (pasta, crackers, snacks, cereal)
• Hygiene items (feminine products, toothbrush/toothpaste)

These items can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the church.

This will help them stock for the future opening date!
