Classic car enthusiasts get ready: This is your time to shine.
This year’s calendar already is chock full of car shows, cruises and other events in the Yakima Valley. People will fill the streets and gather in empty lots to admire – or show off – their favorite classic cars, lowriders, hot rods and more.
Rally up your crew and roll out to a few highlights of the Valley’s offerings:
Cruisin’ The Ave.
From 7-11 p.m. on the second and third Saturdays of June, July, August and September, Yakima Avenue will be open for cruising.
The cruising route is along Yakima Avenue, from Seventh Avenue to the turnaround at Naches Avenue.
Many car enthusiasts gather at adjacent parking lots to visit and show off their rides. Spectators often fill the sidewalks, and many bring lawn chairs.
The 2025 dates are June 14 and 21, July 12 and 19, Aug. 9 and 16 and Sept. 13 and 20.
