‘Stamp Out Hunger’ with the Letter Carriers Food Drive this Saturday

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Looking to donate your extra food?

Leave it in or near your mailbox this Saturday and a Letter Carrier will swing by and scoop it up!

The Letter Carriers Food Drive is an annual event nationwide that has been going on for over 30 years, collecting nearly 80,000 pounds of donated food every year.

The donated food will go toward the Salvation Army, Rescue Mission, and Catholic Charities and other food pantries around the panhandle, which food stock is considerably low around this time of year.

If you are looking to leave out food, make sure it is non-perishable and not expired!
