
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The 24th-ranked Harding men’s golf team is tied for fifth place with three other teams at 17-over 585 after two rounds at the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional at St. Joseph Country Club.
The Bisons shot a second-round 289 (+5), following an opening-round 296 (+12). The top four teams will advance to the NCAA Division II National Tournament after Saturday’s final round.
In individual play, Dennis Staykov and Jose Manuel Peralta are tied for 20th at 4-over 146, each carding a 2-over 73 in the second round. Finlay Cummings led Harding’s second-round performance with a 1-under 70, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 10th hole. Cummings is 37th individually at 6-over.
Jose Arzu shot 2-over 73, including a pair of birdies on the back nine, and is 48th at 7-over. Christian Lindgreen is 88th at 12-over.
Central Oklahoma leads the team competition at 4-over, while Marco Anderson of Washburn tops the individual standings at 4-under.
