Arvest on Lee Boulevard hosts bake sale to help local food banks

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Arvest Bank location on Lee Boulevard in Lawton hosted a bake sale ahead of Mother’s Day.

It was a great way to get last-minute Mother’s Day gifts and a great way to help out several communities across Southwest Oklahoma.

The crew began selling popcorn, cookies, cups, plants and so much more around 8 a.m.

The funds raised from the event will go towards supporting the Lawton Food Bank, Christians Concerned in Duncan, Elgin’s Emergency Food Bank, and even beyond.

“Yeah, we do it all across our four-state footprint, and it helps multiple counties and all the states, and I want to say that we have raised more than 25 million meals over the time period of the 15 years we started it,” said Felicia Hanson, Community Market Specialist for Arvest.

This is the bank’s 15th year of Million Meals, and if you weren’t able to make it to the bake sale, don’t sweat it!

Million Meals continues through the end of May, and you can donate to the cause by visiting your local Arvest Bank.
